Austin Jukebox proudly presents:
> Simply Saucer [CAN] - Legendary Canadian psychedelic band, who after initially breaking up in the late 70s had a record released a decade later that created a mythology around the band, well deserved based on the brilliance of "Cyborgs Revisited". This will be Simply Saucer's first show ever in Austin during their on-again off-again 40 year career.
> Ed Askew [NY] - Ed Askew has a rabid underground following as a singer-songwriter based out of New York. He's released a multitude of well loved and critically acclaimed albums during his nearly 50 year career, and this will be Ed's first show ever in Austin.
> The Transgressors [ATX] - A local Austin-based band, The Transgressors play a form of rock 'n' roll tinged with western… Not country, but western influence… Creating a unique sound that makes them a perfect contrast to the other performers on the show.
> P Kellach Waddle [ATX] - A classically trained bassist who is a current member of the Austin Symphony, P K Waddle is a brilliant musician and will be an incredible start as the opening for this show.

David Nance (Omaha, Ba Da Bing Records)
Shawn David Mcmillen
'Omaha musician David Nance is unknown to many but a cult DIY hero to others, known for making noisy, lo-fi, genre-defying jams on a beaten-up analog tape recorder. For his new album Negative Boogie, via Ba Da Bing, he upgraded to an actual studio but he hasn’t made his sound any more accessible. Negative Boogie is an album of noise, art punk, blues and more off-kilter sounds coming together to make one impossible-to-pigeonhole piece of work...' --Brooklyn Vegan

We recently lost a genuine legend in the horror community. Tobe Hooper was probably best known for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Poltergeist, but for our money his true masterpiece was this 1985 horror/scifi assault on the senses. Possibly the greatest alien vampire zombie disaster movie ever directed by an Austin native, and we'll stake (*hehe*) our reputation on it. So join us, won't you?! There will be trivia and prizes and maybe some other fun stuff if we work that out (look, we're all under a lot of stress, ok? we're doing our best!) Bring a friend, have a few drinks, leave some $$ in the jars to help with Hurrican Harvey recovery, and experience the insanity that is LIFEFORCE!
Hosted by Susan Tomorrow and special guest David Lee Petro (XETAS, Cruel Whip, the Gospel Truth, Art Acevedo, etc. etc.)
A space shuttle mission investigating Halley's Comet brings back a malevolent race of space vampires who transform most of London's population into zombies. The only survivor of the expedition and British authorities attempt to capture a mysterious but beautiful alien woman who appears responsible.

Have you ever thought of helping with SCA events?
Social Cycling Austin is always looking for willing volunteers to help guide the ride. If you are interested in helping out on TNSR or any of our other rides, let a ride leader or helper know.
Also please remember…
Social Cycling Austin rides AS traffic and NOT AGAINST it. We stop at red lights, yield the right of way and let cars pass as best we can. We don't block intersections. We are nice to both our fellow riders and the other traffic on the road. LISTEN TO the volunteers helping to lead the ride. They are some nice folks and have your best interest in mind.
If you have any questions about the rules, we suggest you check here: http://bicycleaustin.info/laws/austin.html
REMINDER: The goal has always been to create a safe environment for all riders, but we cannot control, nor do we desire to, every rider's behavior. We promote personal responsibility, and it is each rider's responsibility to take care of themselves, and if they choose to ride with us, then they accept those risks inherent in riding a bicycle with a large group of other people riding bicycles.
