Two Distinguished Gentlemen: Ralph White & Steve Marsh Album Release, Trio

Please join us for the album release show for Ralph White and Steve Marsh's "Two Distinguished Gentlemen" at Beerland, Texas on Friday, 2 March. Also playing are the first-time trio of Lindsey Verrill (of Little Mazarn & Moonsicles) / Ingebrigt Håker Flaten (of The Young Mothers, Atomic, Plutonium Farmers) / Marcus Rubio (More Eaze) and keyboardist Joe Hendrix.

A slice of New Weird America, "Two Distinguished Gentlemen," rooted in folk & blues, steeped in psychedelia (including an entrancing take on King Crimson's "I Talk To The Wind"), is the electroacoustic melding of two of Austin's long-time idiosyncratic musicians, Ralph White (Bad Livers) and Steve Marsh (Evil Triplet; Terminal Mind; Radarcave). 21st-century troubadours, Ralph and Steve cycle through heartbreak, loss, protest and spiritual renewal.

Recorded at Rob Halverson's Halversonics Recording, produced by Steve & Ralph, mastered by Nick Landis at Terra Nova Mastering, the album features Ralph on vocals, fiddle, fretless banjo, fretless guitar, kalimbas & accordion and Steve Marsh on vocals, electric 2x4, electronics, treatments, theremin & foot stomps.
